Results of a new study by Stanford University show that the immune system works better at night while we are sleeping.
The study showed that when fruit flies infected with bacteria at night had a better chance of surviving than did the flies infected during the day. When the fruit flies’ circadian rhythm was off they became more prone to infection. ……

Seniors are not acting their age.
A new study showed that seniors feel about 13 years younger than their actual age.
The six-year study of 516 men and women aged 70 and older revealed that the seniors on average felt 13 years younger than their chronological age. Women felt closer to their actual age with men feeling younger. ……

Constipation is one symptom I never thought of as a possible indication of impending illness, but evidently it is. Isn’t everyone constipated at one time or another? What I didn’t realize is that doctors are saying if you don’t have a bowel movement after every meal it could be an indication of constipation.

Can certain symptoms be warning signs to us of a sickness or even worse, a disease that could be coming upon us? Actually think about it, these warning signs could be considered our friends because they could cause us to act in time to avoid such illnesses before they have a chance to become serious and take over our bodies. If so, it would behoove us to pay attention to them.
In the next few articles I will list some symptoms that doctors are asking us to be aware of and pay closer attention to in case they could be warning us of impending illnesses.
Of course, sometimes these symptoms have nothing to do with warnings of any pending illness. But, being aware of the possibility can save us much hardship later on. ……
Women were twice as likely to die as men from severe heart attack

A study in the medical journal Circulation showed that women who suffer the most serious form of heart attack (STEMI or ST-elevation myocardial infarction) were twice as likely to die as men (10.2% compared with 5.5%) in the hospital in the first 24 hours. ……
